ADAM GWON’s award-winning musical Ordinary Days made its off-Broadway debut at the Roundabout Theatre Company, and has since been produced around the world, including in London’s West End. His other musicals include Cloudlands (with Octavio Solis), The Boy Detective Fails (with Joe Meno), Bernice Bobs Her Hair (with Julia Jordan) and String (with Sarah Hammond), which have been produced and developed at South Coast Repertory, Signature Theatre, the O’Neill Theater Center, NAMT, and other theaters across the country.
Adam’s songs have been heard in concert at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, 54 Below, Joe’s Pub, Ars Nova, and more, performed by such luminaries as Audra McDonald, Kelli O’Hara, Liz Callaway, and Brian d’Arcy James.
His honors include the Kleban Award, the Ebb Award, the Second Stage Theatre Donna Perret Rosen Award, the Loewe Award, the ASCAP Harold Adamson Award, and the MAC John Wallowitch Award, as well as commissions from Roundabout Theatre Company, Playwrights Horizons, Broadway Across America, South Coast Repertory, and Signature Theatre. He has been a fellow at the MacDowell Colony, Goodspeed Musicals, Weston Playhouse, and the Dramatists Guild.
Adam’s recordings include the cast album of Ordinary Days (Ghostlight Records), Audra McDonald’s Go Back Home (Nonesuch), and Over the Moon: The Broadway Lullaby Project featuring Brian d’Arcy James (Entertainment One).
