Gaby Alter

Gaby Alter is composer/lyricist for Nobody Loves You (with playwright Itamar Moses), which premieres at San Diego’s Old Globe Theater in May 2012. His musical Band Geeks! (with Tommy Newman, Mark Allen and Gordon Greenberg), received a production at Goodspeed Musicals and is now available for licensing through Music Theatre International. Other shows include 29, a high-octane pop-rock song cycle (NYU Steinhardt, 2007), and Young Zombies In Love.

Gaby is a Jonathan Larson grant recipient, and has won awards from the New York Fringe Festival and The San Francisco Theater Critics’ Circle. His work has been seen and heard at NYMF, The NAMT Festival of New Musicals, Goodspeed’s Festival of New Artists, Barrington Stage, Lincoln Center Songbook Series, Joe’s Pub and on Sirius/XM Radio. He has written music for PBS Children’s Television, NPR, MTV, films and video games.
