Michael Patrick Walker is an award-winning composer/lyricist who The New York Times hailed as "a skilled songwriter" and The Huffington Post dubbed one of today's "must-know songwriters". Best known as one of the creators of the smash-hit musical Altar Boyz, Michael received two Drama Desk nominations (shared with Gary Adler) for both Outstanding Music and Lyrics and won the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off Broadway Musical for his work on the show.  His other musicals include: the upcoming Dog and Pony (with book writer Rick Elice), being theo, The Distant Bells, and an untitled song cycle based on his debut album. His songs can be heard on the Disney Channel's Johnny and the Spites and Nick JR's Olivia, and he composed the Rockette dance number Humbugged! for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Recordings include: Out of Context: The Songs of Michael Patrick Walker, the Altar Boyz cast album, the Johnny and the Sprites album and several editions of BC/EFA's Carols for a Cure. Michael is a proud Carnegie Mellon graduate.
