SAM is a devout sixteen year old Mormon. Life at home is hard. His mother is on her third marriage and Sam believes it’s his fault. However, for this moment, all that chaos disappears. MOTHER and SAM are in the temple to do baptisms for the dead: a sacred Mormon ritual in which a living person is baptized on behalf of the deceased. Dressed in their temple white clothes, MOTHER assures sam that here, in the temple, they can find real, lasting happiness. SAM gets in the baptismal font and is baptized by another teenager.
