Carner and Gregor

Sam Carner and Derek Gregor, among Playbill.com’s 12 “Contemporary Musical Theatre Songwriters You Should Know,” won the Richard Rodgers Award, the John Wallowitch Award for Songwriters under 40, and the $100,000 Kleban Prize. Carner & Gregor songs have been performed on all seven continents--including Antarctica, and have been nominated for 11 MAC Awards for “Best Song” or “Best Comedic Song.” Their musical Unlock'd played Off-Broadway at the Duke Theatre as well as Houston’s Queensbury Theatre and more. Their musical Island Song has been performed at the Adirondack Theatre Festival, London’s Stratford Circus, and at dozens of venues around the world with many more productions slated for 2018-19. The studio cast album of Island Song starring Jeremy Jordan, Kimiko Glenn, Jackie Burns, Lilli Cooper, and Troy Iwata is now available for a free download at www.IslandSongMusical.com. They have many other projects in the works, including TOAST, which has been developed at the Bloomington Playwrights Project, Coastal Carolina University, NC State, and more.
