Meet the Bloggers: Ailsa Hoke

The Green Room is thrilled to introduce you to our newest bloggers who are joining us this spring. For the rest of the week, you can get to know them through the latest installments of our Meet the Bloggers series.

Name: Ailsa Hoke

What do you do outside of blogging? Read, cook, dream about living in London, and watch the Harry Potter series on repeat (just kidding…maybe).

Favorite musical: I hate this question! It’s so hard to pick one because I have so many… The Last Ship has really captured my heart as of late, and The Last 5 Years will always be up there, but I think my very favorite has to be Spring Awakening. I don’t know one person who has seen the show and wasn’t touched in some way.

What are you interested in blogging about this spring? I’d love to make connections with other young people who are trying to find their way after college in the theatre world. That’s something I’ve struggled with a lot since graduating, and I’d love to be able to relate to others like me.

What are your non-theater interests? I’m a huge foodie and love exploring new restaurants. I also love traveling and trying new things!

Favorite contemporary MT song: “Two Strangers” by Kerrigan-Lowdermilk, especially as sung by Caissie Levy, Morgan Weed, and Helene Yorke:
