From concert videos to show clips to behind-the-scenes vlogs, videos are an essential part of the contemporary musical theatre ecosystem. They're also a great way for young performers to start making a name for themselves and can even play a role in the casting process. So whether it's your new year's resolution to put yourself out there in 2016 or if you just love a good singing challenge, you've come to the right place.

From now through February 7, you can enter the very first #MusicalTube video contest! Presented by NewMusicalTheatre.com and The Accompanist, the #MusicalTube contest gives you the chance to perform some of NMT's best-selling songs, get your videos into the world, and maybe even win some sheet music. 

Here's how to enter: 

1. Pick one of these 10 songs: 

Hint: If you need the sheet music, the code #MusicalTube will get you 25% off each of these songs. If you need a karaoke track, you can get it for free on SoundCloud.

2. Record a video of yourself performing the song you picked, and post the video online. Make sure to tag it #MusicalTube and link to both the sheet music and the-accompanist.com in the description.

3. Post a link to your video on twitter with the hashtag #MusicalTube. If you don’t have a twitter (or if your account’s protected), you can email your submission to marketing[at]shop19.newmusicaltheatre.com.

4. Entries will be accepted until February 7, 2016.

5. The winner will be chosen by a celebrity guest judge and announced on social media during the week of February 8. Who’s the judge? Stay tuned for the announcement soon!
