Gosh, It feels like summer has come and gone in the blink of an Eye-dele Dazeem. It’s only August, and it’s already happening. I can’t finish one God-Dammit-Janet show on Hulu without seeing those Back-to-School-Target ads that’s I can’t x out of:
So here’s the T with me: I wrapped up another summer accompanying those badass MT aspirees at Paper Mill. These past few weeks were centered around finding the perfect classic uptempo and ballad songs to have in your audition book. Seeing these young professionals really digging in to find the right, specific classic songs gave me the push I needed for my second edition of DON’T SING THIS, SING THAT!
So here it is. Classic uptempo and ballad songs sung by four of the greatest divas. Instead of reaching for those songs that made them famous, reach for the ones that’ll make YOU famous. Bass tremolo, por favor.
Alright kids, let’s hear it for you. Remember, sometimes your heart breaks. But take it from me, there’s still going to be a summer, a winter, a fall and a spring. So blow that bugle, show them you care, you’ll be glad if you do. Why? Because something’s bound to begin.
