Beth Blatt
Beths lyric/book-writing has earned her a NAMT grant, the Georgia Bogardus Holof Lyricist Award (the ONeill), the Klinsky Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre (2nd Stage), a Jonathan Larson Foundation grant, and a Dramatists Guild fellowship.
The Mistress Cycle (composer Jenny Giering) has had two acclaimed productions in Chicago and won The Directors Choice Award at NYMF; the show was also presented at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Theatre Works Palo Alto, and Barrington Stage. Beths work has been featured at NAMT (
Princess Caraboo), fostered at Goodspeed (
Hashi with songwriter Jeff Blumenkrantz), developed at The Village Theatre and Dartmouth College (
Oneida) and produced by TheatreWorks USA (
Island of the Blue Dolphins). Beth is founder/CEO of
Hope Sings, a for-benefit music organization whose latest effort is the theme song for UN Women, the new United Nations agency.
