Meet the Bloggers: Nikki Shah
This fall, The Green Room is thrilled to welcome a fantastic group of new bloggers to our team. For the rest of the week, you can get to know them through our Meet the Bloggers series.
Name: Nikki Shah
What do you do outside of blogging? I enjoy re-watching episodes of The Office, singing, and discovering everything the world has to offer.
Favorite musical: My favorite musical is next to normal. I love how many risks it takes with its content and how eye opening it is. Although it follows a specific story, it’s relatable on all levels and every character is incredibly dynamic. The score ranges so much so there’s something for everyone. It’s also the show that led me to learn a lot more about musical theatre, which is why it holds such a special place in my heart.
What are you interested in blogging about this fall? I hope to talk how musical theatre is changing in regards to score and race, as well as how I hope to continue my passion for musical theatre as someone who doesn’t perform anymore.
Favorite NMT song: “Pinch Me” by Drew Gasparini. Emma Hunton and F. Michael Haynie’s performance cracks me up every time.
