Meet the Bloggers: Samantha Gordon
The Green Room is so excited to introduce you to the newest bloggers who are joining us this summer! For the rest of the week, you can get to know them through the latest installments of Meet the Bloggers series.
Name: Samantha Gordon
What do you do outside of blogging? I am super involved with my theatre company and sorority at my school and also love to spend my time baking, binge-watching Netflix and traveling!
Favorite musical: It’s a tie between A Light in the Piazza and Matilda. They’re two totally different musicals but they both creatively tie together new styles of music with classic storytelling.
What are you interested in blogging about this summer? I love to mix old style with the new so I’m hoping to focus on reviewing some of the greatest Golden Age musicals and looking forward to some great revivals and new contemporary pieces.
What are your non-theater interests? When I’m not doing theatre things (which is rare), I’m either watching the news, watching Bravo or Netflix, or trying new recipes to share with friends!
Favorite contemporary MT song: “I’ll Be Here” from Ordinary Days. I will always love Audra’s performance, but Betsy Wolfe’s is the definition of a sob-fest:
