Favorite audition tip: Be yourself! I love seeing people’s personalities. Don’t try to be something you’re not, or try to sound like anyone else. Being unique in this business is a wonderful thing!

Recommended female audition song: CAMP LITTLE NOTCH

This is a great story song that is both funny and poignant. It’s fun for the actor to play both ends of this spectrum – she begins in a very frustrated and annoyed place, and the song resolves with her finding joy in seeing what makes her friend so happy.

Recommended male audition song: NO ONE GOES TO AN AMUSEMENT PARK ALONE

This song gives the actor the opportunity for several different acting layers. Musically it creates a sad and plaintive tone, but the character’s challenge is to find the joy in being alone – or at least to try to convince himself that he is ok by himself.
