The View From Here
A nameless novelist arrives in New York intent on getting his first book published. As he recounts his daily misadventures in a series of letters to his girl back home, we see through his eyes the colorful eccentric, vibrant and wildly bizarre characters that make up his new life, and the tragic events that make up his old one.
The View From Here was presented as part of the New York Musical Theater Festival's 2005 Invited Shows programming. It was presented there by Glass Bubble Productions, directed by Elizabeth Lucas, music directed by David Epstein and featured performances by Shonn Wiley as the novelist and Tim Byrnes as Sam the trumpeter.
