Favorite audition tip: Let the time you’re in the room be about getting to act for the day. Don’t worry about pleasing anybody, since you don’t have any control over that anyway. Just let yourself get swept away in the movie of the song, and what your character wants in it. It makes the time in the room much more bearable, and you might even get out of your own way in the process.
