Jill Abramovitz

Jill Abramovitz - (lyricist / bookwriter) Jill is a contributing lyricist on Broadway's IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU, having written the lyrics for Tyne Daly's 11 o'clock ballad, "What They Never Tell You," with music by Barbara Anselmi. She is the lyricist of TheatreworksUSA's MARTHA SPEAKS (book by Kevin DelAguila, music by Brad Alexander), which toured nationally, and the lyricist / bookwriter of the musical adaptation of the film BREAD AND ROSES, with music by Brad Alexander (NYMF Reading 2016, AMAS Dare to be Different Festival 2017).

Jill is the lyricist and co-bookwriter (with Leah Napolin) of THE DOGS OF PRIPYAT with music by Aron Accurso, which received the Weston Playhouse New Musical Award and the Jerry Book Award and was a selectee at NAMT 2011 and Goodspeed's 2012 Festival of New Artists. She is also the English language translator of the award-winning Israeli musical BILLIE SCHWARTZ, running at the Haifa Theatre. 

Jill is a past Dramatist Guild Fellow and a Harrington Award winner in the BMI Workshop, as well as an alumna of the Musical Theatre Factory writer's workshop and Goodspeed's Mercer Colony, where she developed LIKE A BILLION LIKES (*current title) with Brad Alexander and playwright Erik Forrest Jackson. Jill is also an actress, having performed in five Broadway shows including Beetlejuice The Musical, and with TV credits including Chicago Med and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
